Nicaragua travel updates and COVID-19 restrictions

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 are exempt from pre-departure testing requirements.

The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure.

Authorized vaccines include those approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). Full details can be found at https://www.visitnicaragua.us/what-should-you-know-to-travel-to-nicaragua/

Test/medical certificate required

Non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, on departure.

Other medical measures

All passengers are subject to health screening on arrivals, such as temperature checks and visual assessment. Further health testing may be required for those displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

Additional documents required

An 'entry form' must be completed and sent to solicitudes@migob.gob.ni at least 7 days before arrival.

This does not apply to nationals.
