What´s the distance from Miramar Surfcamp to the surf Spots?

Miramar surf camp is situaded right in front a reef break that is also know
by the name " Punta miramar" or "la jamaicana" and a beach break named "the Pipes"

I´m staying at Miramar Surfcamp, what are my surfing options?

By foot (less than three minutes walking) you already have access to the reef break right in front, moreover you have
access to the Puerto Sandino's wave (only acesseble by boat wherever you are). By car you have access not only to
those spots but to many diferent surfspots, such as Punta San Diego ( meat grinds ) El Transito, El Velero,
Playa Hermosa, Poneloya, Las Penitas, Salinas Grande, Corinto, Chinandega on a trip that could last
from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Is Miramar region croweded?

No. Some people and some surf tours arrive to surf the local waves, but untill Nov/2009 we are the only
hotel option in the area.

How´s Miramar region?

Miramar is still a fishing village and still is beginnig the touristic process, there is no nightlife
and touristic establishment, we offer everything you will need for surf and food.

Are the waves just for experts?

No. The region has waves that require more expertise but there are also options for people who are more at the
beginner level to intermediate level. There are also great places to have surf.
